ABOUT AU PAIR REGULATIONS IN AUSTRALIA
- Hours and maximum workload: 30-35 hours per week
- Light household chores agreed with the family
- Participation in family life
- Common extracurricular activities
- Weekly payment: between AUD $200 and $300
- Private room and board
- Support for courses or cultural activities (not mandatory, but recommended)
- 1 full day off per week
- 2 weeks of paid vacation for 12 months of work
- Duration of experience: 6 to 12 months
- Medical insurance assumed by the au pair (according to the type of visa)
- Liability insurance assumed by the family or included in the visa

Legal Requirements
- Age: 18-30 years old
- Intermediate level of English (minimum B1)
- Taste and love for child care
- Single and childless
- Good health
- No criminal record
- Have childcare experience (minimum 200 hours recommended).
- Apply with Working Holiday visa or student visa with permission to work.
- You have a minimum of AUD 5,000 in your bank account and can afford the trip.

- Treat the au pair as a member of the family.
