ABOUT AU PAIR REGULATIONS IN DENMARK
- Working hours and maximum 30 hours per week
- Light household chores agreed with the family
- Participation in family life
- Common extracurricular activities
- Monthly payment: 4550 DKK (€609 approx.)
- Private room and board
- One full day off per week
- 24 to 30 days of paid vacation, for 12 months of work
- Duration of your experience maximum 24 months
- Health insurance will be taken care of by the family at the local Citizen Service Center (Borgerservice). There, they will give the Au Pair the CPR number and the health card.
- The host family has to cover the cost of the Au Pair's return ticket.

Requirements Host family
- Have at least one child under the age of 18 living at home.
- At least one parent must have Danish nationality or have lived in Denmark for several years.
- Not receiving any social assistance
- Not to have more than one Au Pair hired at the same time.
- Have a single room for your Au Pair.
- To want to welcome a young foreign girl at home for a year so that she becomes part of the family, is treated with respect and cordiality so that there is a real cultural exchange.
- Your Au Pair will have enough free time to attend a language course that you can afford to pay for it.
- Have sufficient income to support your Au Pair during the stay.
- You must pay 18000 Danish kroner (DKK) (2400 €) to the Danish employment office to finance part of the expenses that the Danish government has with the Danish courses for au pairs.
